    Doing my homework

I took off work today and spent the morning at the courthouse. Doing my homework, I called it. I watched bankruptcy proceedings and took lots of notes. I was able to see 7's and 13's, as well as dismissals for failure to pay etc. The best part about going to this was being able to see the attorneys in action. It convinced me that my gut instinct was right about one of them (Attorney A). Attorney A was completely unprepared for most of his cases. I also noticed another attorney (Attorney B) that I had not considered previously....he seemed to have very good client/attorney relationships as well as with the trustee and the judge. Attorney B seemed prepared and well spoken. I am going to try to get a consultation with "B" to see if I like him in person also. I will keep everyone posted.

If anyone else is looking at attorneys, I highly recomend watching them and the proceedings. I learned sooooo much.

Wow, that's actually a great way to decide on an attorney.

It's crazy that an attorney could seem to know what they are talking about at an initial consultation and then prove to be horrible. You had the right idea, though. Good call.

quick question, I went to the southern california bankruptcy court webpage and they had 4 judges listed. When i checked their schedules they did not really have any BK cases listed that they were doing. So my question is I know the 341 does not need a judge so are 341's taking place all the time or should I call the courthouse.
            Thanks

I went to the bankruptcy court web site and looked at the trustee schedule to find out when to go to the courthouse to watch. Call the courthouse and check with the court deputy, they should be able to give you the schedule for when BK cases are being heard.

Today they were doing 341's right after the 7's and 13's. I understand that the judge is not normally there during the 341. So you might have to check with the court deputy to find out when those are.
