    Question about Statement of Intention

On the Individual's Statement of Intention form for either surrendering or retaining property, it says the following: 'I intend to do the following with respect to the property of the estate which secures those consumer debts...'
I will be filing without an attorney and have been reading up alot on the subject (obviously). In the 'How to file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy' book by Nolo, it says that one uses the Statement of Intention for instance, to reaffirm a car loan or lease. But it also says that a leased car is not considered to be property of the estate because the debtor doesn't actually own it. Seeing as how I want to keep my leased car, do I fill out this Statement of Intention or what? I talked to someone at my local Legal Aid yesterday and they said I don't even have to list my car at all since it's a lease, which I feel must be wrong, no? What steps do I take to reaffirm my car lease? Thanks so much!

A lease goes under your "Schedule of Executory Contracts".
