I recently charged off a few credit cards. I was wondering if it was possible to still file. I was trying to catch up on them but now it has gone too far.If a credit card is charged off can I still file?Thanks.

Sure you can. They might be charged off, but you still owe the money, and collection outfits buy these bad/charged off accounts.

You can file. Most of ours had been charged off for a few months before we filed. The only downside to having the charge offs is that they will continue to report on your credit reports as "charged off" and IIB. If they hadn't been charged off prior to bankruptcy filing they would only be reported as IIB.
