HI all have talked with 2 attorneys. Cost around $1400 for chapter 7. I was wondering of those who filed by them selves would they do it again. I have $60000 credit card debt. 1st and 2nd mortgage and two 401-k loans. The attorneys said my house would be exempt ( have no equity anyway) and I own two older cars (paid for) that would be exempt here in Kansas (autos up to 20000). Both attorneys thought there would be no problem with the 401-k loan due to dealing with turstee and judges here. After moderate expenses with the 401-k loans we are in the hole about $300 each month. We have no luxry items and last used credit cards. 3/31/05. Wife got ill and lost job. I dont have the money to pay attorney but am worried that if something goes wrong that I would not know what to do and then would have to get attorney and it would cost me double. Thanks for your advise and the support that is given on this site.
