if a judgement was obtained in one state before i moved to another state, is that judgement valid in the new state i live in (Florida ) or do the creditors need to get a new judgement in Florida courts?

They probably have to do what is called "domesticating the judgment". Its a procedural formality and easy to do. So technically, the answer to your question is yes, the judgment from one state cannot be enforced in another state, UNTIL they domesticate it in the other state. (full faith and credit clause of the constitution)
The creditors do not have to re-sue you in your new state.
