who is in this mess after 26 years because we did not get paid for a big expensive job. When we filed suit for payment,they countered with an amazing listof problems. To make a long story short, the mediator said they were the worst people he had ever worked with. They are millionaires and we can't afford to persue the suit.
Their bills are on out CC's and we hav e been paying them for 6 months.
They are demanding $150k on top of not paying us the 40k they owe us.
Now , the question. How does a self employeed person pay his first months bills after BK if the trustee takes your checking account?
We are on a new job now and our BK lawyer said it would be easier to finish that one before filing. That gets into preferentials but it also falls in normal cost of business.
Does the trustee take your entire amt of money when you have reafirmed car notes etc? We are in Texas, thank goodness our house is paid for and they cant get that. Thanks from a newby. This is truly ruining my health. Texbuilder
