    Paranoid About Attorney's Silence---Please help.

I went to see a bankruptcy attorney right after Thanksgiving because I had been served with papers because one of my creditors was suing me. I sent the attorney all of the paperwork that he required, paid his fees and the filing fees and my attorney got an extension for me with the lawsuit. He emailed me over a week ago saying that he may have some numbers crunched last Monday so that I will know what chapter I can file for. I have not heard from him. I emailed him on Wednesday---no response. I called his office and left a message yesterday afternoon---no response. He had given me his cell phone number prior to the Christmas holidays for emergencies. The question I need advice with is would it be too pushy to call him at that number if I don't get a response from him by next Monday afternoon? I am a little on the paranoid side because this attorney is a solo practioner. When I first filed for my divorce a couple of years ago, I hired a solo and paid him for my divorce. He cashed the check and died a couple of days later. I had a very difficult time getting my money back and had to go through the state bar and everything. With my deceased attorney, I kept leaving messages and leaving messages and he didn't call me back (of course he couldn't because he was dead, but I didn't know it). I finally found out on the day of his funeral that he was dead. Anyway, I would truly appreciate any one's 2 cents on this matter. Thanks.

Absolutely NOT ! If this guy's been paid since THANKSGIVING it's LONG overdue for him to get off his dead you-know-what and do what you've paid him for. Even with the holidays there's no excuse for that kind of delay.
