Now that mention it, I think it might. Since you are "required" to provide the trustee with your prior year tax return. I suppose if you wait until after you FILE your taxes for 2007, then not filing in 2006 won't be an issue (vis-a-vis your ability to file BK).
But to make things easy for you anyway, you SHOULD go ahead and file your taxes.
