    Questions

If you are military, how do you fill out the means test for income?

We have 2 vehicles, both with payments and fairly new..can we keep those and keep paying the payment?

We are a family of 4 in CA.

    TIA

I tried to do the quick means test and according to it we don't make Ch. 7. That is why I am asking. There is no spot to deduct our BAH, which is way above what they have as our standard deduct for this area, and is taken back for our housing rent.

        Confusing to me...

We were told at the consultation because our expenses were high compared to take home pay, we might qualify for C7.

Yes, BAH and BAS ARE income for purposes of BK.

The consultation is probably correct, if you have high expenses and they are reasonable for the jurisdiction you can still get a chapter 7 discharge. (it happens all the time, not a big deal).

              Ok, last questions on income.

              1. Do they count special duty pay? sea pay?

              Thanks.

All sources of income count. But, you only need to use your last 6 LES (not all 12).

All sources of military pay count. But remember to deduct all military expenses like dry cleaning haircuts and put in a budget for temporary duty stations since when you file the government credit card will probably be closed
