How does that work for BK for a co-signer?

I was a co-signer for my sons student loans, and he is not working? So he cant make the payments at this time.The notices are starting to make it my way and I can not afford to pay his bills at this time.....Might have to apply for a 13...

I'm not sure about how it works, but I wanted to say Student loans are not usually eligible for BK of any type. Are they Federal loans? If so, call the company and ask about a deferment. There are several options out there that help when you can't pay your student loans.

I believe they were not federal.
