                    Cool

                    That's a big high-five there!!

Just imagine if all of the banks changed their policies. What would happen if they all said, "Okay, let's stop ragging on these people after 90 days and burning their credit. If they become unemployed and something bad happens, let's give them up to 6 to 9 months before we really pursue them. That should give them time to let them get back on their feet. By then, then can repay us rather than go bankrupt on us where we end up getting zero." Why are banks so quick to burn somebody to the ground and destroy their life just because a person has some short-term hardships? Don't they understand that it takes many people up to a year to recover?!?!?

That is so true. I know for a fact that we would still be paying on our cards and making them money if they had worked with us when we originally asked them to. However, after it's all been said and done, I am so happy they didn't honestly. We would have never been able to dig ourselves out in a reasonable time. The

Because it's all about money and the law of averages is on their side.

I think the average person filing Chapter 7 yields them zero, don't you think?

I wonder if there was some kind of study done showing that if you gave a person extra time without destroying their credit that they would eventually pay you back.

You can buy insurance on your debt that gives you one year without making any payments before they sue or kill your credit rating. That cost about 79 cents per every 100 dollars of debt.

They don't care if you become unemployed or if something bad happens or how long it takes to recover or if you die as their butts are covered no matter what.

That or maybe a study would show that some people have no plan of ever paying anything back- not because most people do not want to pay it back but because they can not.

Most can pay back the debt and it is only a small percentage that cannot & end up BK.
