    Discharged but have questions....

Just got a Ch. 7 discharge few days ago and had some questions on what happens next.

    1) I let the house go under bk and I am wondering what will happen next. I am assuming the mortgage company will just foreclose on it. Do I give the house keys to the bank or what?

    2) I just noticed that one of the creditors listed on my petition was listed with the wrong account number. I don't know how I missed it the first time going over it but I guess I was overwhelmed with everything. The Creditors name, and address is listed correctly but the last 8 digits of the account number are wrong. Is this something to be worried about?

    Thanks.

    1. Yes, they will just foreclose, but no, you do not need to drive down to the bank and give them the keys. In fact, you can live in the house (rent free) until they decide to evict you.

    2. Having the wrong account number should not be a problem. The only issue may be is that it may take a little more work to clear up any credit reporting issues. But the debt is discharged.
