DIY or hire an attorney?

Just curious, how many people file themselves? Is it always necessary to hire an attorney?

If you case is "open and shut" no asset Chapter 7 you should be able to wing it on your own. A lot of people have done it and have reported it came out okay. There are websites you need to access to obtain information on how to file out the appropriate paperwork and what to bring, etc., but it can be done and it can save you some money.
