Income Tax Return
I have filed chapter 7 and will be going to the meeting on approx. oct 15. My question is will they take my tax return for 2005 to pay off some of my debts. I usually get a good return due to having claiming only one all year and then claiming kids at end of year and then the earned income also. thanks for your help in advance. by the way i live in Ohio

It's very unlikely. If you had an attorney file your BK 7 petition, this matter should have been addressed prior to submitting your petition. So that the estimated amount of your refund could have been included in your exemptions.Originally posted by smitty
