Watch Out For Unscrupulous RE Investors

I have to say that going through BK was tough on my ego but a very easy process. We had a great lawyer who explained everything. Our house was in foreclosure at the time and we needed to stop the sale.

We were going to file a chapter 7 but changed it to a chapter 13. I didn't want to lose the house and under chapter 7 we would have lost the house. When the lawyer told me that we were going to lose the house I broke out in tears. My husband wasn't working at the time of the filing of the chapter 7 but a week or so after the filing he secured a full-time job (Thank God).

What bothered me was the investors who rang our bell at all hours of the day. One guy even told us you're going to lose the house anyway so you might as well sell to me or I'll take it....hilarious!

Watch out for the individuals who claim they can help you out of your situation. Most do not have your best interest in mind.
