Are saving accounts safe from creditors placing liens?

my checking acct just got 'charged'(lien on it)

i have esurance as my car insurance and they only take credit/debit or checkings/savings acct.

i am curious if i can open up an savings acct so i can continue paying my monthly 90 dollars of car insurance. thanks so much!

Savings accounts are just as vulnerable to levy as checking accounts. The only types of accounts creditor cannot touch are those that you can exempt (i.e. 401k's, pensions, IRA's etc).
