    Bank Statements

I was looking through my last 6 months of bank statements and I have 3-4 deposits, all of which are under $500 except for 1. It was just over $900, and I honestly don't remember where that came from. Could this be an issue down the road when I go to file (i.e. will they count this as income on the means if I can't explain wher eit came from)? I wasn't sure if they mostly look for anything over $500, and if there are any would they want a written explanation. I am above median with a high amount of debt so I am expecting extra scrutiny from the UST.

I am kicking myself for the lack of documentation on my part...

I cannot imagine they question every deposit. Alot of people have paychecks that are more than that amount. Then again... nothing would surprise me.

That's the thing...this deposit is separate from my paycheck deposits (my paychecks are direct-deposited so my statements clearly show my employers name).

maybe I am freaking out over nothing....

My attorney isn't requesting bank statements. Can't say for sure if the trustee might at some point, though.

I've also got some deposits that I can't remember what they're from. I'd long forgotten by the time I got around to updating my bank statements into Quicken months after the fact. It doesn't help that they're "even" amounts, like $300, $750, etc, usually due to getting cash back. I tried to match them up as best I could with all the sources I could think of, such as an escrow overpayment check, husband's bonus check, tax refund, insurance check from cancelled policy, and redeposits of cash withdrawals (we had to put some back some times to cover a check).

I have to believe it's not all that uncommon for people not to remember what every deposit is for. Okay, I admit, if I'd paid more attention to my money flow I might not be here, but that's another story.
04/04/08- Notice of deficiency balance due from a repo. 04/18/08- Fico scores w/repo listed: EXP 624, TRAN 610, EQU 610. 04/19/08- Found this forum. 04/24/08- Retained attorney for a chapter 7, filing singly. 5/5/08- Turned in bk paperwork to atty. 5/27/08- Date set for reviewing paperwork.

I am slightly worried about this too....when things started to get tight we were drawing out the entire paycheck, which had been direct deposited, and paying cash for most everything. If I needed to write a check or use a debt card I would redeposit the cash back into the account. I didn't think I would be filling BK at the time and I am worried about those deposits. Also my mother puts money into my account sometimes from her state. Like $100 or whatever for food or something.
