feeling a little better now...my story

well ive been a basket case about this whole BK situation. since i now have no CC's to fall back on, and right now i have a low paying job, only about 21k a year. right now between gas, food, rent and making the payments to the lawyer i really dont have any extra to even set aside for car repair emergencies. well i had a nice talk with my mom today, my mom and BF are the only two people who know....if my dad ever found out he'd never let me live it down. my mom told me not to worry, if something does come up with my car she will take care of it for me and i can pay her back when im done paying off the lawyer. well that was like a big weight lifted off my shoulders. so for today im feeling a little better. it is a very scarey feeling tho to realize that you have absolultley no savings at all and living by a thread from paycheck to paycheck. and even tho mom and BF have offered me all the help, i cant help but feeling like im being a burden on people. and of corse the feelings of being a failure, ive always been kinda depressed and a huge worry wort so this whole thing is making it almost unbearable. i have an appointment coming up to see a specialist to hopefully get some help with this. the other nite i was up til 4am re playing all these "what if" situations in my head. sometimes at work i go in just a mess with all this stuff on my mind. i try to keep telling myself things will get better but sometimes its still hard. thanks for reading i just had to vent.

Glad you are feeling better .

I had a bit of trouble scrambling to get the lawyer money too, like you i have a low paying job.

I am fortunate that I live in my parents trailer and only pay a low lot rent. It has enabled me to save some since the bankruptcy. (They live in another state).

I have even put in a lot of money (400 to 500 dollars) into home repair this year, which it sorely needed.

It will get better, you'll have to start with a budget like I did after filing bk. Once I got filed and worked up a budget I've done much better. You have to budget some savings is the key. I currently have a little over a grand in my emergency fund.

Sorry to hear that you felt that way and you are not alone. Someone here said "bk is a business decision". I am glad your mom can help out and just remember this is just a fase.
