              That's the way I felt...

I, too, felt like a giant weight had been lifted from my shoulders when our debt was discharged... unfortunately, it's been replaced by another set of problems.

Our home is in foreclosure and we'll need to find a new place to live in the next month or so. We have found THAT to be impossible. We may end up homeless.

I have a great job and between my husband and I, we have more than an adequate income. We made some mistakes along the way, and had some setbacks beyond our control (husband broke his back in a car accident, our home was flooded -- you get the idea) which led to a great deal of unsecured debt and eventually the bankruptcy and foreclosure.

We now find ourselves in a situation where we certainly can't buy a home -- AND we can't rent anything either. Everyone -- including private parties -- is requiring credit applications to rent anything in our area. Every place we have gone, we've been turned down because of the bankruptcy and foreclosure.

There is a real possibility we will be homeless very soon.

So my advice to anyone who is considering bankruptcy and who may be losing their home -- even if you don't have to move right away, secure a housing unit BEFORE filing. Pay the rent as if you were living there (or go ahead and move). After you file, it may be too late...

...and i thought my problems were over.

I had an overdraft about with wamu which i included in the chap 7 case.

now im trying to open a checking acct and cant.

they are saying because im on "checks systems" they cant.

                any tips anyone?
