    Quick Pacer Question

Which option to I pick on Pacer to find out the lastest info when I do a query?
I tried "status" but all it said was pending. I see lots of people seeing different types of abreviations, but I have yet to figure out where I can see those!

This isn't quite what you asked, but the best advice about PACER I got from this forum was to be sure and check the "Date of Last Filing" at the very top of the page BEFORE you make a query. If that date has not changed, you don't need to pay 8 cents to hunt through every link.

That said, 'Hub has given you the best advice: "History/Documents" should give you what you want. Be sure to select the "display docket text" box for the best overview.

It's not a very friendly interface, and it's great to have some guidance. What completely cleared the fog for me was a sticky on the "General BK talk" forum called "What is PACER?". Look for SinkingFast's tutorial on that thread, and see if it doesn't work for you, too.
        Filed chapter 7: June 9, 2008
        341 meeting: July 18, 2008
last day for objections: September 16, 2008
        DISCHARGED September 18, 2008 - CLOSED September 29, 2008

I think the abbreviations you are referring to are the flags (these should be on the case summary page), things like "MEANSNO", "AwaitClo", etc. There should also be a link in the same list as "Case Summary" that says "Status". This will show you your current status and how many days you've been in that status. It also gives you the number of days left in the period set for that status (e.g., day 3 of "awaiting discharge", 57 days left). Hope this helps.

Hey Help! Is there a list somewhere on the forum that gives all the translations of the flags on PACER?

Thsi is for Ohio, but I do believe that the flags are the same for any PACER filing.

              Bankruptcy History:
              Chapter 7 filed - 10/12/2005 - Asset
              Discharged - 02/16/2006
              Case Closed - 11/08/2007
