I just read a previous post and am a bit worried now. I filed Ch. 7 2 weeks ago, but did not include my childrens bank accounts. I didn't even think of it at the time. Since they are minors, (11 and 9) I am the main account holder, but the statements come in their name. Was I supposed to include these accounts in my paperwork?? The balances are only like $150.00 each. Will I be in trouble? What do I need to do now?? Thanks.

They do need to be included in your petition regardless of their balances and your attorney can file an amendment.Comment

Time to amend the petition again and include them
. Just call the lawyer and he'll walk you through it (and yep probably charge a little for it )

That stinks. You really think he'll charge me for that?? I actually forgot about them, because they're in my kids' name, but since they're minors I'm the primary account holder. Will having to amend it again irritate the trustee? Hope not!Filed Chapter 7: 8/13/08
