Buying a new car pre BK contd.

Some of you who have read my earlier threads know that my lawyer advised my wife and I too buy a new car pre bankruptcy. The guy she sent us to was a shark, etc., etc. Anyway, I received a letter in the mail on Saturday from Honda stating my wife and I were denied a loan for a car from Honda two weeks after we bought a car from someone else and decided not to buy from Honda. I called the car salesman today and he was a huge @$$. He instructed me to call the finance dept tomorrow. Should we report him to the BBB for running our credit a week after we met with him and didnt give the approval or should we let it go?

Let it go, man. There are AH's everywhere. Why bother, it will only highten your BP. You got a car and that is good. He didn't and that is good. Be cool. You now are in control, remember this. 'Hub

Hey, Redd.....here's something positive you can do with that denial letter--you can use it to access your credit reports for free from whatever bureau(s) they used in their decision to deny you! I did this with the plethora of turn-downs we received when we bought 2 new cars pre-filing. I think you have either 60-90 days to access them...I did it several times during the process just for the heck of it, to see how our reports were changing, and it didn't cost us a dime. And these weren't just the reports from the date they did the denial--they were up-to-date reports each time I pulled them. Just a thought!

I would car the manager of the dealership and let him know what happened. Tell him how this guy treated you when you went there to buy a car and tell him that he ran your credit without your permission. Just give him the facts and then drop it. Maybe also send a letter to Honda about how someone representing them treated you. After that drop it and move on. He's not worth it and he will get what is coming to him eventually.
