    I couldn't help but laugh!

I was checking the mail yesterday, and guess what I found:

Only a week before my 341 a credit card offer from Premier bank. I thought to myself "Are ya friggin' kidding me?!" laughed hysterically, and shook my head before throwing it in the trash.

        Killer fees

If it was First Premier, this doesn't surprise me. We got those offers every week it seemed. This CC is one to help you rebuild after BK, but the upfront fees absolutely suck though. You'll start out with a $300 credit limit, but the initial fees suck up just over $200 of your intial credit limit, leaving you with little available credit. Continental Finance is another one exactly like this. Avoid the CC's with outlandish fees if at all possible. Being able to manage your credit wisely shouldn't mean being slammed with fees, nearly maxing out your credit limit, and then bustin' your butt to pay off the balance.........AND YOU HADN'T PURCHASED A SINGLE THING WITH THE CARD!!!!! Now that's what I call funny!

They did the same with me! And I'm in a 13, so no credit for me for at least 3 yrs... and after that still no Premier or Continental.

I still laugh, I got 2-3 offers/week(between me& DW) for CC's from the time of petition to now(2 weeks after 341). I'm curious what will happen AFTER discharge/closing. Will my mailbox just fill with 29% offers? hah.

Probably. I would guess that after the 100th mail offer (), they'll realize that you don't want the card.

Here's a suggestion if you choose not to receive those offers anymore.....
Some of the CC offers will have an opt-out, 800-number you can call and you can have your credit profile kept "invisible" for a while. Of course you'll probably still receive the offers that you've already been receiving from those who already have your information, but you won't get any new ones. For example, let's say that Capital One watches for the BK discharges, and then stuffs the mailboxes of discharged debtors full of CC offers. Well, since you have chosen to opt-out, Capital One will never "see" the discharge, therefore you won't get the offers.
