    Bk classes?

We have a friend whos parents are going to file for bk. Well the friend told us that his parents had to take a bk class in order to file. ( the friend doesn't know we filed) Has anyone ever heard of needing to take classes in order to file? Or is this possibly something new that people who want to file, after 10-17, will have to do? Or is this friend of ours really stupid?

    thanks

If you are going to be filing after October 17, 2005, then yes, they have to take a BK class with a certified Credit Counseling agency and a financial management class.

O.k. I just completed my prefiling class through Green "scam'' do a online search for the real name.;o). Anyway that cost $50.00. They said the post BK classes would also cost 50.00. I thought it was somewhere around $19.00. Eitherway, it's a scam. What are the cost other people paid? The only thing I liked about this company is they email the info right to my attorney.

Additionally, Do you have to use the same company for post filing class as you did for the prefiling Bk class?

MI you shouldn't bump old threads.

TO answer your question you can use a different corp for the two courses.

I used CCCS for pre bk filing
and I used hummingbird for post bk filing
