    confused with legal consumer means test

    ....the bottom says there is no presumption of abuse after i enter my total unsecured debt and that i can file ch 7 or 13 , but then the top still says not eligible and 13..........

    If you filled out the entire means test.

    Then part 1 is just a test if you are over the median income.

    If your are over you have to fill out part 2.

    If after part 2 you no longer have a presumption of abuse then you'd check the presumption does not arise.

    To prepare you though it is likely the trustee or UST will challenge your expenses etc in an attempt to get you into a Chapter 13 so be sure you are ready to justify all numbers you used.
    May 31st, 2007: Petition Filed by my lawyer
    July 2nd, 2007: 341 Meeting Held
    September 4th, 2007: Discharged and Closed.

      yeah, i did the whole thing....i'm off the monthly median income by like....40 dollars

      the numbers i used were pretty conservative...but we'll see what the senior paralegal says when i meet with her on june 2nd

      i'm making a "charitable contribution" this week
