    judgements

undefined If you filed bankruptcy 7, and you have been discharged of your debts can they still try and sue you for the money owed? or is there a fine line?

If you filed BK, listed the debt in the BK, received a dischage, then no, they can't sue you. However, if the debt had already gone to judgment before you filed BK and you didn't file a motion to expunge the judgment, then the judgment will pass through the BK unscathed.

      HHM,
How do you know if a judgement has been filed against you? Would that show up in your credit reports? My CC's and student loans have been in default for over 2 years now and I rarely get any calls regarding them. Is this a bad sign that a judgement has been filed?

In most cases, to get a judgement, they have to sue you first. Unless you have been really hard to find, you would have been served with a summons at some point.

Sometimes judgments are reported on a credit report, but not always.
