    Car Loan

I was discharged in June of 2004. What kind of interest loan can I expect when buying a used car that costs $15K?

no idea. maybe call around to see what they say. but dont apply everywhere until you get a good feel for who you want to go with.

also, it all depends on your income, current credit scores, etc. so its too hard to determine.

What kind of car is it? That seems like a lot of money for a used car. I haven't been car shopping in a while, but that seems high. Currently the average rate for a 36-month used car loan is about 7%. That would put the payment at about $460 a month. Ouch!

im amazed out how much people are willing to spend on a used car. $15K also seems like a lot. but i live cheap and have learned to do so.

you know you can get a honda 99-2000 accord which is very nice for $7-9K and its going to last forever. just an idea.

I agree thats alot of money. And used car % rates are much higher than new car rates. Why not just buy a new car if you're going to spend that much? All the deals and incentives out there, factory warranty, no tires or brakes or battery or anything to worry about for years. I would not buy a 15k used car from a dealer. Maybe from a private seller if I was getting an outstanding deal.
