How long does it take before they start foreclosure?

Im sweatin bullets waitin on my case to be discharged (hopefully) I reaffirmed on a mortgage and I am 2 months behind on it,but they accepted a reaffirmation ,I called up the place and told them that I was waiting on discharge so I could catch everything up but she was a real B#@*&,I am planning on selling an exempt auto and using that cash to do so,I wish I could now but have been told not until I know the trustee abandons it,I was just hoping to not get discharged and then they will start foreclosure right away on me,my business (construction) is slow for the winter and it has been a bad one for me so I have been lagging in my bill paying skills. Also my deadline for objections is 2/13/06 that is 60 days past my 341,why dont they let you know what is going to happen? guess they like to see you squirm, sons a b*^%$ches Oh well maybe Ill get run over by a truck tommorrow and this will all be settled.. knowin my luck they'll check credit at the gates of hell.

The foreclosure process time really depends on the state the property is in.

I have seen people post on here that they have lived for a long time in their homes before they had to move. Several months to a year or more.

We own a home in Missouri, so I checked on the Net for foreclore info. Missouri is a "quick foreclosure" state. Lender's can start proceedings after as little as 2 missed payments. The whole foreclosure process only takes 60 days. If we don't make a payment for January, our lender could sell our house as early as the first of May.

You need to check out your state's foreclosure process laws. There are also charts at various websites which show how long each state's process takes.

Officially Declared No Asset - 03/2007
    Closed - 04/2007

Thanks sinking fast,I will check on that. I know everything will be caught up,I just want to have a chance after discharge to do it. I might be overeacting a bit but I have never been in a situation like this before.
