i had to have hernia surgery 30 days after i filed chapter 7, my out of pocket cost is over 2000 dollars would this be include in my chapter 7 sence it wasnt discharged till 4 months after my surgery? court date was aug 22 2005 surgery was sep 22 2005 and discharge was 1 22 2006 ? was just wondering? thanks for the help rob

anything after your filing date can not be included in your bk.
did by any chance you list them for other debts owed before the filing?
maybe you can slide by and tell them you filed bk. worth a try.Im not an attorney or a trustee. You cant trust me either though!

If you did not list this in your bk papers, and you are now discharged, you can't go back and list it......
Shame you didn't call and include it before discharge....Minny

also, remember that you can negotiate with them if you cant convince them its not owed.
attorneys do it all the time with settlements. they call up and explain they didnt get much and not much left to pay them with it.Im not an attorney or a trustee. You cant trust me either though!
