    Doomsday,
When you get that discharge - YOU ARE GOING TO BE SO RELIEVED...... AND THE WEIGHT OF BK WILL ROLL OFF YOUR SHOULDERS.

Financial relief is a fantastic feeling..... All the worry and anxiety will go away and life will go back to some kind of normalcy.

The last few days of waiting, is very hard... WE ALL know that feeling!!! But in the end, it's well worth the sweat and tears we go through......

Now I've got 3 days left (and nothing on PACER so far). Oh the agony. This weekend is going to be one of the longest of my life. Fortunately, I have a lot to keep me busy.........my friend's band has a gig Saturday night (and were celebrating my sister's 30th B-Day at the gig) and we're getting the house packed up (which we have surrendered) for our move the first weekend in March. I CAN NOT WAIT!

Deadline to Object to Discharge has come and gone and nothing on PACER this morning. Could I be in the clear? Only time will tell.

You may be checking for weeks and find nothing. I still am myself.

BassBoy - we found out our case was discharged BEFORE it was posted on Pacer. Actually, it was weeks after our 2004 Exam before details of that appeared on Pacer. I really believe if you were going to have any issues with the Trustee you would have heard by now. If you will recall we received our infamous letter from her ONE day before our discharge. But again we already knew we might have a problem with an expense. When all your attorney can say is keep your fingers crossed does not exactly give you the boost of confidence that your case will go through without a hitch. Once we got the letter I checked Pacer and the code 707(substantial abuse) was on there. However, it was just a bump in the BK road; we did have a happy ending and you will will too. You might want to even call the court and ask. Some of the people on the BK forums have done that and discovered their cases have been discharged but not yet recorded.

                    Has come and gone

Well, I made it through the weekend with flying colors......didn't worry too much about my case.

The time has come and gone.....

Now, I wait patiently for the rest of the week and see if anything happens.

I AM DOOMED. Got word from my attorney that 1 of the creditors has filed an 'adverserial'...or something like that. So, I have a meeting with the attorney later this week. Any one know what I am looking at here????

That is called an adversary complaint - they are objecting to something..... either they are demanding payback on a cc that they think you have abused, or the return of merchandise purchased on the card.....

Need to talk to your lawyer, there will be a hearing with the creditor about this issue.... DO NOT LET YOUR ATTORNEY BRUSH THIS OFF............. if you do and its not settled then the creditor will get a default judgment against you and you will have to pay the bill, plus his court cost....

So stay on top of this issue.........

Keep us posted what it is about......

I spoke with my attorney and he said that I should fight it. He didn't think that the cc company had a case. However, it will cost me more in attorney fees...ugh!

One other question: my 341 was on 12/13/05, so when would the 60 days be up? The BK papers said last day for objections was 2/13/06, and that is when the CC company objected. I thought 60 days would have been 2/11....anyone?

I stumbled across a handy dandy little date calculator:

                              http://www.timeanddate.com/date/dateadd.html

You are right. 60 days was on Feb 11th, but....... The Feb 11th was a Saturday. Since the Court cannot go fewer days, ie Feb 10th, the Court might have extended out to the 13th for the last day to fall on the next available "business" day after the 60 day time period.

Did you file New Law or Old Law?? Is the CC company objecting to the entire balance or just certain charges on the card?? Did you have a period of time lapse between charges and filing??

Officially Declared No Asset - 03/2007
                              Closed - 04/2007

The cc co. wants all the $$ back. There charges and time are over 90 days. I filed old law. I had a meeting with my attorney Friday about what my options are...now get this: I just received my DISCHARGE in the mail minutes ago!!!!!(I shouldve picked up the mail on Saturday) I'm confused now. The discharge was forwarded to me through my attorneys office....what the heck is going on here...lol??????
