I had my 341 meeting on 12/13/05 ,I have a date of 2/13/06 I believe for discharge? or is this date just a formality,I mean what is this date for? if I get to this date and I dont hear anything negative can I assume that it is over?I know i have heard that it isnt over till its officially discharged, but is there a time limit that has to be stood by?Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

The date 2/13 is the last day anyone can object to your discharge. Your discharge should take place on 2/14.....
If you hear nothing or see nothing on Pacer you should be successfully discharged on the 14th...
Are you under the new laws or old laws??
Use an attorney or pro se??Minny

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

I am under the old laws,so does this mean the trustee should have decided what he is going to do before then?my case is an asset case they said because of my taxes, but I owe so i dont think that has anything to be worried about there,he does want my tax return and I am going to have it to him tommorrow.but with the case overload I dont see how I could be done on the 14th,man that would be an awesome valentines day present if I am ,but if not i will keep on hoping. thanks MinnyI prayed for a new bicycle but god didnt respond,so I stole one and asked for his forgiveness

i doubt the trustee knows anything about your case much at all. unless hist staff told him there was a boat or cash un-exempted involved. then he would have been all over your case like white on white-rice.
its a lame meeting. no you dont give him anything there. its just so he can ask questions under oath. they should just make you submit the damn asnwers to the court isntead. quit wasting time. sometimes creditors show but very rarely. sometimes he asks questions if he has his eye on something. but not much happens.
he does his grim reaping afterwards.Im not an attorney or a trustee. You cant trust me either though!

But that doesnt really answer my question though,Does anyone know if there is a time limit on the trustees ruling in an asset case and when does all the grim reaping usually take place,I mean I know what I think is exempt from my attorney but the unknowns is what i am worried about,I really dont care what he decides to take or try to make me pay for the equity and all that,i just want to know when i can expect an ending,so I can move on. I am having it rough right now,not just with this bk but the worst winter in construction in 20 years, man what a year,I sometimes wish i would have never filed, yes i would be in debt and still struggling but I at least wouldnt be cash poor and handcuffed as fars as not being able to sell anything to help with bills.I prayed for a new bicycle but god didnt respond,so I stole one and asked for his forgiveness

i misread when your 341 date was. i see you already had it.
you have a discahrge date. you can hear anything at anytime up until that date. after then as soon as you get the pacer entry or discharge papers in the mail then you are mostly done.
until the case closes, usually within 10 days or less after the dischrage date, the trustee can still change it to a asset case.Im not an attorney or a trustee. You cant trust me either though!
