Would my hubby be able to buy a big truck and go into business for himself? Is it allowed when the bk is not closed? I know we would financially be better off, but can we do it and not be in trouble?

As to whether he'll be able to, that will depend on the particulars. Will the trustee have an issue? I can't imagine that he would.Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision. -

We filed Aug 29, 05....Meeting on Nov 2, 05......Discharged on Dec 29,05....Just mailed in our portion of the tax refund that was requested.....Waiting for the creditors to whatever their share will be, deadline for them to file a claim is May 22, 06. We filed Ch 7, walking away with nothing except a reaffirm on our mini van, left house, credit cards and brand new mini van behind. We both are pretty sure that we had a no asset as the atty covered all bases with us. Trustee was glad to see us getting a new start. Went over all details at the meeting and the only thing new that has come up is the refund, all other items have stayed the same.Comment
