    Attorney meeting

Well, I just got from meeting an attorney. He use to be a trustee and handles only bankruptcy cases. He was very nice, informed me of my rights. We talked about all the different types of bankruptcy and decided that chapter 7 is the best fit for my situation. His retainer fee is 1100 which is pretty resonable from what I have read on this forum.

He also said that I can start forwarding any collection calls to him. What a relief that will be.

I feel like a giant weight has been lifted off my shoulders. Thank you everyone for all your support. I'll keep everyone posted on my progress. My attorney said that the entire process should take about 3-5 months.

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

Good move on your part, Ten, to get a former Trustee. He'll most certainly know the ropes!!

May your BK go smoothly and quickly!!
      Filed Ch 7 - 09/06
      Discharged - 12/2006
Officially Declared No Asset - 03/2007
      Closed - 04/2007

I am not an attorney. My comments are based on personal experience and research. Always consult an attorney in your area to address concerns related to your particular situation.
