Question For Those That Are Done With The Process

Hey - I noticed that alot of you put in your signature line when you filed, how long it went and that you're done, filed, and signed off. Then, you're putting you're getting mortgages, credit cards....so I guess my question is - is there really life after filing bankruptcy? I see all this and it gives me the idea that it won't ruin me forever and to see some of you getting mortgages afterwards..well, it's nice to see things work out for some of you.

Can we all be this lucky? I was under the impression that bankrupty almost stopped you from any sort of credit at all. Maybe I was wrong....hope so..

The most important thing is just to fix your credit report. Make sure everything is reporting accurately. There is deffinately credit life after bankruptcy!

Bankrutpcy you will SURVIVE..... and have a home, nice auto, etc again..... Just takes time to clean it all up, change our lifestyles a little or a lot, and put ourselves on a good budget for the rest of our lives (to make sure it doesn't happen anymore.....

Some people have "more" after bankruptcy, then they ever did before bankruptcy..... they just didn't realize it till after it was all over....

And the feeling of "relief from debt" is mind tremendous...... because usually the stress is really bad when someone is in financial trouble....

Read some of the threads about those that have filed, and theirs is over.....
YES THERE IS A LIFE AFTER BANKRUPTCY....

BEST THING I EVER DID FOR THIS TIME OF MY LIFE....... even though I had to give up things, and start somewhat over....

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

You know, now that I almost done with my BK, it is true. It really has been the most stressful, gut-wrenching thing I have ever done and there have been some dark dark days. But it really was, at this point in my life, the right thing to do.

There is life after BK. I spent alot of time the last year cleaning up my credit reports so that when I am discharged from my BK, I am ready to begin life again. And that does not mean incurring more debt from credit cards and toys. It means being able to someday get a new car at a decent rate or moving into a better house and being able to choose where I want to live, instead of having to settle for what my credit will allow me to buy.

        Life does go on.

          Hey there Hopeful,

Yes, there is DEFINATELY life after BK! I think we're a better credit risk when it comes to new car loans and CC's because all of our debt has been erased, however WATCH OUT FOR THE PREDETORS! They'll do anything to suck you in again.

Be patient and take it slow....ONE THING AT A TIME.....you'll be just fine.
