OMG!!! The phone didn't ring once today with creditor calls. Actually one called but I wasn't home (it was on caller id) but that doesn't count because I didn't hear it. What a great sound to not hear the phone ring.

I know what you mean Miss Puff. That is one GOOD thing that has come of our filing so far. They have tapered off over the last week and there was only one today. My phone hasn't been this quite in a year and a half!

Even 200 years before phones would even start ringing, I think Mr. Penn was tapping into exactly how we bk'ers feel about our phones when they suddenly go silent after months or years of daily and nightly torture. I was giddy with relief for weeks! Now when our phone rings, I know it's a friend or family. When that phone stopped ringing after I filed officially, it was a wonderful feeling. I'd check the caller ID and it would be cleared of any creditors' numbers...mainly Discover and CitiFinancial. The phone's silence was very welcomed!Meeting with Lawyer: 8/2/2005
