    Credit Matrix????

    Hi there,

    We are getting ready to dispute some things in our credit reports but we do not know exactly what the credit matrix is. Can someone PLEASE help so we can mail the appropriate things.

    I know in a BK filing a Creditor Matrix is a master list of all of you creditors and there addresses.

        But you DO NOT want to send that to the creditors when you dispute. Never do their homework for them!

          Just send a letter to the CRA's disputing individual, particular items. Generally best to dispute things one at a time rather than several in one letter. Let the dust settle, then move on to the next item.

          You might feel like you need to write a detailed explanantion about things, but who ever opens your letter at the CRA's distilles your comments to fit their generic descriptions.

          Dispute as "Not Coded Correctly" or "Not Mine". Some other, non incriminating comment. Use "Included In Bankruptcy" as a last resort.

            I did a bunch of disputes online, all at once. My TU result was 2 deletions and 2 updated, as well as removing erroneous personal information. I thought about the one at a time thing, and then decided that would take way too much time. But I did use the Not Coded Correctly and Not Mine options wherever possible.
