    Interesting Reading for Baby Boomers

If you are in the baby boomer category, google the following :

Aging and bankruptcy: The baby boomers meet up at bankruptcy court

There is sh*t-storm on the horizon. It is interesting that my parents (in their 80's) valued financial issues above all else as they experienced the depression or the aftermath of the depression. Myself, and many friends I know, valued health, fitness, and education. We sit around with tens of thousands of dollars invested in our children's education, thousands of dollars in debt due to childrens' health AND parent's health issues, etc. I'm chuckling as I remember a quote from Abbie Hoffman's "steal this book," WE ARE THE PEOPLE OUR PARENTS WARNED US AGAINST. (I can't remember who is responsible for this quote.) Just a little humor to keep everything in perspective. Cheers.

Yep sadly I see this happening a lot. We are headed for some real tough times in the next decade or two. The government has promised the baby boomers entitlements it cannot afford. The baby boomers have to much debt and to little savings. What's worse is that their children have less than they do in savings and more debt.

Traditionally each newer generation has taken care of the older one as it has aged. We are reaching a point in the next few years where the majority of the older generation will not be able to afford to take care of themselves and their children will not be able to provide either.

As you say tree its gonna be real bad in he coming years

Color me blind if you wish, but I read this as:

        GET OUT OF DEBT NOW!

        and stay that way.

        The collapse is coming.

        Learn self-sufficiency.

If the Draft is reinstated then it will be a direct result of the democratic congress putting limits on how long folks can serve, which will come back to bite us in the ass if we have a real war.
