American Express will cut 7,000 jobs

It would seem the days of jobs that do not produce a product and produce only services could be making a move to draw down the size of the non-producers. While this bailout continues, this has been a point made by several politicians and market analysts.

I have been saying these days would come to a head for the last 20 years. People who sit on their butts and only push buttons and people who only want to skim the cream off the top through stocks are finally going to have to start working, like sweaty, dirty work. I can't imagine... LOL!

but not to worry, China and INdia will be sending manual labor factory producing jobs back to the united states soon at about 5 dollars an hour, it will be cheaper to pay americans than hire their own people or pay to clean up the mess.

hmmm -where did I see that trend before.

          Well Bandit,

Your assuming they are going to have to have Government regulation that looks at all their exports and increase the producers costs for meeting those government regulations. Ya know.. the kind that monitors Milk, Dog food. LOL

Maybe someone should introduce Unions to them?

milk & dog food come to mind first, then you know the tilapia and shrimp with antibiodics and massive quantities of free mercury. It is something every week.

When america no longer produces anything and china can't afford to clean up the pollution and their slaves all die from eating, breathing and drinking chemicals... we will get some jobs back...that is why the people who own these factories sent all the jobs their to begin with cause it was CHEAPER...and now we are paying the piper.
            What ever happened with DUPONT?

I know the AMEX palace in ft lauderdale very well. They think they are elitists. What did they produce? A higher credit score? LOL! It used to be huge. The people working there are like brainwashed clones. they pay them nothing for doing nothing then offer them all these perks & parties instead of wages. It never made any sense to me.

union in china would mean health insurance, raises and a pension...& oh yah...seniority. That would cost too much. What is a pension?
