My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

      Which top CC issuers??

Chase, BoA, and MBNA weren't among the ones that didn't double. Most of our CC's did double. A few were already high. One was already charging 5% of the balance, including interest charges, so fortunately that one did not double. They went with some new payment calculation formula so it only edged up a bit.
      Filed Ch 7 - 09/06
      Discharged - 12/2006
Officially Declared No Asset - 03/2007
      Closed - 04/2007

That's how I felt from the beginning. All they got were 1/2 million more filers on 2005 then in 2004. The credit card companies are now saying that "well they would have filed anyway and the bankruptcy rate will go down in 2006" Somehow I think by the end of 2006 there will still be the same rate as previous years. What changed? They still solicit credit, people still use credit, American Express advertises how "they save us all money". How do you save money when you borrow money? Still confused with that. Bankruptcies will decline when they loan out less and people borrow less. That simple!

One other note not so simple, someone with a brain must fix the broken health care system. No easy answers to this, social medicine is not a fix, but this probem must be fixed somehow to reduce bankruptcies.

the gov should pay for all childrens health care until 18 or out of college until 24 imo.

after that the gov should pay half of everyones health care imo.

after that they should pay for my dinners and gas too, in full i might add.

We all are the "gov". We are the $$$ they use. We can't afford to. The gov should at least pay for your 60 day party. That's reasonable. LOL

well i disagree with you on that. the government shouldnt have to pay cuz i the creditors already paid for it.

the $40K cash advance i took out 8 months ago was used to pay for it. plan your bankruptcy (and discharge party), remember? lol.

protecting the best interests of our country is done every easily by making sure children are taken care of very well. gov should do that. health, education. it is what will make our country even stronger every decade.

oh, besides half health care paid by for me by my gov i think they should take over the gas BS that is going on and provide me with fuel at cost. too many things are rigged and rampid with BS scams and big money crapola schemes. let the gov, which is part of those schemes, give me at cost only - gas, milk, food. after that half cost for health, cable and internet. as for clothes, walmart is cheap enough lol.
