Support your LITTLE business

Hi, Catwhisperer here.
Maybe just a little venting but here is a call to all of you who would like to make a difference. We own a small home based business that has struggled because of the big businesses out there. Almost filed bankruptcy and shut down our business because of high gas prices and high costs of doing business. Today Federal Express notified us that if we ship a package to a college because "someone" lives there we are charged a $2.10 residential shipping surcharge. I asked if we sent a package to Notre Dame would that apply also and was told YES!!! This is after over 10 hours trying to straighten out problems with Nextel/Sprint and taking care of unbelievable customer service poor service and doing the whole order wrong, causing me hours to straighten out.

Support the little/small businesses out there who would love nothing more than to help you! OK, I feel better!

So true, Cat! Small businesses are practically extinct these days as the big, anonymous conglomerate Wal-Marts of the world squeeze the little guys out. I miss shopping in stores that really know what it means to provide excellent customer service and give good value for my money!
