I bought my wife one of those Kitchenaid Stand Mixers my wife has eyed but not asked for for 20 years (yes,cash). What a beauty. I have always loved to cook and consider myself the consumate bbq'er and deep fryer. I have made several near perfect thin crust pizza's with this unit and this is my second attempt at whole wheat bread, the first failed but this came out sooooooooo lovely.

I have always told my boys that bakers are the standard by which a culture is judged. A baker will never starve and Wal-Mart will NEVER take his place, his living is honorable and his roll in society is essential. He is the most honorable and noble laborer there is. I love Bakeries.

I feel like a new father! The other loaf has been eaten with butter already.

And GOSH, that looks sooooooooooooooo good!!!!
Wanna make me one and mail it too me, lol.........

I'm a very good cook but I have gotten into the bread making thing yet - but that picture sure makes me want too!!

I love homemade bread, just never tried to make it other than pumpkin rolls, and zuccini bread, etc.

But I can make a "biscuit" that will melt in your mouth, lol!!! And the sausage gravey to go with it.....
