Getting picky???

One of my credit cards that had a $1000 limit, slashed my limit to $750, even though I have always maintained an excellent payment record with them.
For their reasoning they mention my "spending and account history". HUH???
When I first received this card - Juniper - about a year ago - I paid one leadfoot speeding ticket with one of their convenience checks. In addition I use this card to purchase online cigarettes, and last football season for tickets to 3 games.
The exact pragraph - "WE apologize for the inconvenience. However we have adjusted your credit line to reflect one that we feel is more appropriate given your spending and account history"

I have heard of that before. Apparently the big thing now is to profile us by tracking what we use the $$$ for - they really ding us if we have the wrong zip code! Apparently red flags include laudry mats and auto repair places within the area. It has become a real racket!

Well Magyar, I must say, and you probably won't agree, but I am pleased credit is tightening up. If the houseing market was like it was when I was a kid, we would not be in this shape today. It used to be you had to SAVE 20% to get a loan. This caused the person to appreciate their work and need. Instead, buying a house now was like registering for a motel room. No real appreciation for the item, as no sacrifice.

I'll tell you a secret: I found a way NEVER to bounce a check. When we ran out, I refuse to order new ones. Works every time. LOL 'Hub
