Hey, you got to admit, he made things lively. Even though somethings that he said you knew to be true you just didn't want to hear it. BUT - I did notice that he didn't answer questions that were directed at him, even though I, for one, answered his to the best of my ability.
He did give some good advice from time to time, he just needs to work on his people skills.
Takes all kinds to make the world go round.

He has been around - and he has been much more tactful. While BK & all it comes with is not a pleasant topic, there are times that a dose of reality is required. Afterall, we want to leave this in better shape than what got us here, so painting pretty pictures isn't always helpful.

Again, I agree, but just because we go to the firing range we want to get shot. I am glad he has maybe gotten to be a gentler, kinder, version. He has some good points.

There is always hope.
HE does have alot of good info, he just is a little too blount about it as well as he adds alot to "his scoldings". It is a little like your mother telling you the stove is hot and you got severe burns- duh - no s**t.

I still feel that lightning has good points on managing money (except for the nickles and dimes for pet food ). He also has good point sadly that anyone of us anytime, anyday can lose our jobs and we must prepare for this to avoid a life time of financial ruin.

His defense of cc card companies is laughable though. I'm sure that there are some cc executives that come here during their martini lunches sitting in the corner office in the Wilmington De. HQ and read Lightning's posts and get a kick out of him too.

I'll admit, Lighting can be quite abrasive...Hey, the truth does hurt sometimes, but it's how it's said and not what has always been a key matter.

Someone trashing someone, no matter what the cause, is never welcome. But gentle reprovement is not unaccepted.

I think lightening used to be Mark234 and is back in a sort of "stealth mode". I could be wrong, probably am, but just a thought. The posts are in the same vein and on about the same level. I would call lightening an intelligent person as was Mark234, some good advice, but the post manner was a little over the edge.

He may have been scalded by a BK'er, come to the forum for advice and just became angrier in the process. There is a reason that he is here and it may be because someone put him behind the eight ball when he tried to help them. Just a thought. On the other hand I would think think he would have stated that if it was the case.

In my view a little lively argument is a good thing, it keeps the blood up. As long as his posts aren't in the form of personal insult, name calling and general stupidity I think it adds a little flavor. He takes the pablum out and feeds us straight Caster Oil. On the other hand to much Caster Oil can make you sick...

I find his abrasiveness and attitude to be among his worst attributes. Not only that, but he absolutely can't read correctly, and he refuses to answer anything personal about himself, except to brag about how much money he has in the bank and how much better off he is than anyone else here.

I personally don't find him to know hardly anything about credit and credit repair, let alone bankruptcy law. If I could nominate one person for removal from this board, it would be him, because quite frankly, he adds nothing but heartache and misery to those already suffering. Not to mention, a lot of stuff that he spews is just garbage, and absolute nonsense.

Regarding Lightening,
Well, folks, everyone is entitled to their opinion - even Lightening...
Most of us just don't agree with his way of presenting his "point of view".....
He can be very insulting at times, and almost personal in his insults, and statements.
BUT HE DOES HAVE A POINT about a "lot of things". AND AT TIME he offers very informative and constructive facts that would and can help improve our financial affairs.
Most of us are here due to our own handling of our affairs....some are due to major medical problems we have encountered. None of us are here because this is where we wanted to be.
We are here for the "moral support" and guidance thru the bankruptcy process that others can offer us.
If we cannot accept his criticism (no matter how blunt or without compassion), then we need to re-evaluate why we had to file bankruptcy to begin with......
Don't misunderstand me - I'm not taking "sides" with Lightening, (just pointing out that he does have much information to offer for restructuring our lives) even though he has a "rough way" of presenting it to us.
