Isn't there a way, if they can think very hard, that the DNC can blame Bush for this? Must be some way they can pin it on him.Originally posted by Bandit View Posthttp://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009...usavi-khamenei
This reminds me of the last two elections in the USA as Michigan and Florida were silenced in their votes not heard. It is interesting that those politicians are trying to blame the West for this.If I knew it all, would I be here?? I doubt they are trying to blame only one person. I bet it is the influence of the west that has elections they don't like but if they only realized our voting isn't much different from theirs. If Irans corrupt leaders could have their way they would go back to 1978 and have no voting period. That Ayatollah looks and sounds very nervous to me since the people want a recount or another election. It is the position of an ayatollah that needs to be overthrown and banned. I hope one day they figure that out because voting like they are is accomplishing nothing, similiar to the way it is in the states where you are given no fair options for all who run. If they don't like the way delegates go in the US, then they just take your vote and give it to someone you did not vote for.
I think that is what happened in Iran because some are claiming the final vote count was higher than the amount of eligible voters in some areas. I think that is very possible because 85% of them who could vote, did vote. But the ugliest part is, their government is shooting and killing their very own people during what I see as a peaceful protest.

Given the repressiveness of the regime, it is very likely that there were many votes misplaced or replaced. They even themselves admit that almost half the provinces had irregularities including in several instances more folks voting in a province than were registered.
I don't think this will be going away. This is how you earn true freedom, from hard work and sacrifice. You cannot earn it when someone else gives it to you, you have to earn it yourself to make it mean something.
Iran will certainly come out of this a very different nation than it went into this. What it will become is ultimately in the hands of its people. I do agree with President Obama that we cannot allow us to become a distraction or rallying call for them to solidify their power. However the time might come in the future where they may need our aid even as France once helped us earn independence, and after all they can do if they cry out and ask for our help we should give it to them.May 31st, 2007: Petition Filed by my lawyer
