Just some wishful thinking here...Oregons $340 million dollar Powerball lottery winner will make their appearence today...
I can sure imagine all the stuff they had to do, before they announced they were the one.
I am reminded that while working security I got a job watching a house being built. Now I thought it was a bit odd, but the truth came to light (Note, I'm talking 18 years ago) soon.
Seems the guy having the house built, won the Oregon Lottery (Then it was the largest at about 20+ Million) and he'd actually put the house on hold while he "planned" the money.
What did he do? He setup a "Fund" which helps those with mental/physical disabilties along with 5 other familes (But he contributed the major share) and so they have a house which helps metally handicapped individuals "Learn" to manage life and home.
He did this as he has a son which is mentally handicapped. So, he sure knew what he wanted to do!
I did meet the guy, congratulated him and wished him well (About 2 days before contract ended) and he seemed taken aback by my attitude about him winning, bvut not by me asking for a loan.
"That would be a tad unseemly" I replied with a laugh. And I'm sorry, but I've got too much pride to beg for anything..Well, unless my gf wants me to..
Wish more lottery winners would do as this guy did....
