Those are cute.....

Here is one we visit FAITHFULLY every year!! The kids and I "track" Santa all over the world on the "government's satellite system". It is VERY cute. It gives you video, voice overs, and you can see when it comes to your area. It updates...every 30 mins (I think?) it is a site you check all day long cause Santa starts on the other side of the world ...The kids freak out when they see Santa's progress on the map, and see it getting closer to them. Nice bedtime tool for anxious children ...LOL One year after the kids we asleep, I was talking to my hubby, and I said oh Santa is in New York right now, my hubby turned to me and said...."uh? hey Honey, the kids are in bed!" I started laughing , I too get caught up in it, and it can make a young at heart adult believe again... LOL

I sent this letter to our local department stores CEO. I was royally ticked off.



"Meijer thinks Christmas Holiday is "Annoying."

This morning, as I was getting ready, I had the radio on like I normally do. I was listening to Star 105.7

I was horrified by a commercial that came on.

The commercial starts with a guy getting frightened by another voice going "Boo." (Turns out the voice is "the Holiday.") The conversation in the commercial continues with the guy talking about the "Holiday" sneaking up on him. The "Holiday" continues and tells the guy to go buy toys for his neices and nephews at Meijer. At the end of the commercial, the guy makes the statement "You are the most annoying holiday." (The holiday here obviously referring to Christmas.)

I am highly offended first and foremost that Meijer refuses to use the word "Christmas" in any of their holiday advertising. Secondly, they call the Christmas holiday (Even though they don't refer to it by name) as "the most annoying holiday."

I was dumbfounded. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I thought it was a joke, but the more I think about it, it's not funny.
Perhaps you can look into this and find out why Meijer is so willing to insult and offend their Christmas (and Christian!) shopping customers.

You need to work on your ad campaigns folks. This is the epitome of stupidity on your part, and I am highly offended. I suggest you take that commercial off the air immediately! "
