My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

I honestly can't imagine being so desperate/crazy as to try to arrange the death of 4+ people, in the hopes of stealing what I thought were drugs. (I say crazy, because I can't understand someone being that idiotic.) I've had some low times in my life, moments when it seemed there was NO way for things to work out financially, but still! (And those are the times, by the way, that you gain a new appreciation for family & friends!)

Amen to that. Back in college we developed the "middle of the night car trouble system" I phoned my roomate one night atound 2:00AM. Told him my car was broken down about an hour away and asked if he could come get me. (BTW, he had to be at work at 6:00 the next morning. His reply was give me 10 min. to throw some water in my face and get dressed and I'll be on the road. Then I told him it was a joke, and he almost bust a gut laughing. (Davy was a very special man) He thought it was so funny he decided to try it on another guy, but called him around 11:00PM. His response...I have to work in the morning, why don't you call someone else. Well, that was the lasst time Davy ever spoke to him. Said, "I don't need friends that won't come get me when I need help"

Interesting, Art! I think I would have been mad at first, but would have acknowledged the brilliance of the plot after a few days!

My inlaws are like that-would do anything they could. When I first met my DH (obviously before he was my DH, LOL) I was married to someone else. It wasn't a bad relationship or anything, just a 'young & stupid' type thing. Married at 20, realized it wasn't such a good idea by 22. There can be a period of awkwardness in moving out and trying to get your own place-and DH's mom allowed me to stay at her house for 2 weeks. At that point, she hadn't even met me! She was out of town for work and I didn't meet her til the end of the 2 weeks. (DH and I were not dating at that point, were friends, by the way. Don't want to tarnish my good name!)
