Minny... great minds think alike.. I posted this in his other thread yesterday about my thoughts...

For a long time, I thought Lightning was an adult burnt by bankruptcy one way or another, but the more I read, I wonder if he is young, and has no clue what it is like to have bills, unexpected expenses, and just plain life happen...

Sometime Lightning didn't have a savings account just like us, well unless it was his mommy and daddy's money that he saved... so then really, he didn't provide himself anything. His mom and dad provided him a safety net, and he probably lived much like we did, beyond his means, but the money kept flowing from mommy and daddy while he finish school and was able to land a good job.

Newsflash for you lightning... not all parents can do that for their children, instead of being hateful, you should be thankful that your momma and dadda kept you afloat until you were able to firmly plant your feet on the ground with a savings account...

But my guess is you don't care. You need to believe that it's impossible for someone to take care of themselves and save money on their own. If it is possible, that means you fell short in succeeding.

One day an ugly old stray dog showed up in my backyard. He crapped and pissed everywhere,dug holes in the yard,barked at everything and anything and his stink brought tears to my eyes. I tried to treat him nice but he was so mean,nasty and full of hate he could not be changed. He hung around my yard for weeks eating,barking,pissing and shitting. One day i looked out and he was gone and everything was so nice. Unfortuneately he came back. Reminds me of Lightning.

Well, Lightning, thats where you and I differ, I DO realize that I have short comings and don't boast around about how great I am, because I have learned that what goes around comes around.

As far as your 2nd point goes, your wrong about that too. I actually DO care about people, and do believe people can take care of themselves. Which probably surprises you that there are people in the world that care, because in your circle of uppities probably doesn't happen.

However, I also believe in cycles, and anybody that has ever studied economics knows cycles exists within families. If a parent is lower income and can't provide as much for their child, most of the time that child will not go to college and have a successful financially rewarding life, and then they have kids, and they have kids, and then they have kids... UNTIL one day one of the family members breaks the cycle... that is why you have project, ghettos, you name it.... family cycles, I am glad to know that you were blessed to be given a chance at success. I just pray that you are thankful for it, and begin to understand the other side of the coin....

Hey Lightning, you don't have to leave us. You've made some very good points here. Although, sometimes I think your a little harsh. Just tone it down a bit. Me personally, I think you could be very helpful here and I think other members may agree with me, if you made more productive posts.

I usually dont make PSA's (Public Service Announcements) but I think this occasion is appropriate to do so. Lightening has been permanently banned for obvious reasons.

Folks, I do believe Lightening is a student!!!
Notice his posts......(many are done during school breaks (summer, fall, winter, Christmas breaks).
Also I believe he is still a student - living on income from a trust or from his parents.....
From his posts I have observed he is not very knowledgeable in the world of everyday living and surviving.
He may be obtaining lots of knowledge at school on HOW your finances should be...... but using it in every day living has not been a part of his "program" yet!
Yes, he will disappear and then again later on he will silently reappear as someone else just to "rattle our cases, make us think, and voice his opinion (no matter how rude) again... We will always know who you are (even using another name) because your character will not change.
Your full of good ideas, suggestions, and ways to motivate us - you just have a rude and childish way of presenting your side of the coin....

I do believe it was TIME.......

When a thread turns into a battle between members and one continues to keep everything in an uproar..... that member is not being productive in anyway or offering any form of moral support or suggestions to help someone that is going thru bankruptcy.

We all know our faults and misgivings...... we don't need ONE INDIVIDUAL throwing them in our face. We are already very much aware of them.

Lightening had many good ideas and could have offered much to this forum, had he done it in a constructive way without criticizing everyone about their faults.

I think it's a shame that he pushed it till he was banned.
But SO BE IT.....

I think this is what he wanted all along....If he does come back (And surely he will) I can only hope he's more understanding..But you know the saying about a cat and its spots.
