Why would they be calling you? Wouldn't they just file with pacer?

no they contact you or your attorney directly to try for a settlement first. if they put it in pacer then its costs them more and they progress toward court faster.

im not gonna listen to it. im scared.

i wonder if it was for the $6K cash advance i took out.

I would think (meaning I don't know for sure but this is my theory) that if you filed pro se, they would have to go thru the court. Shouldn't be able to contact you directly.

Since you didn't file pro se-check caller ID. Was it your attorney?

But why would they call you directly, rather than your attorney? Any chance that you may have forgotten to include someone? Better to find out what its about now than later.

<smacking BKF around> Listen up, get a grip on your self. Gimme the number and I'll call and see who it is ! Peeps do that all the time when they are too chicken to step up to the plate! LOL! Seriously, call the number, see who it is. If its a creditor, call your lawyer and start crying.

Look, fraidy cat. If you don't look at your caller id or hear the message, you won't know who the caller is. What you going to do? unplug your phone and take it to your laywer to decipher? Be a man. Listen to the answering machine.

Bwaaawk bwaaaak. I'm callin you chikken.

no way am i gonna answer the phone when im trying to clean up my credit report. let alone call anyone on it.

ill send the "please clean up my credit report as i heard you are under the law to do so. thanks." letters. that should be good enough to be honest. and ill keep sending them too. no matter how many stamps it costs me.

ok i just got back from my attorneys appt. cost me $150 for half an hour.

i old him what happened. that i got a call and i think the number is from a creditor and that it might be them calling me. i then asked him who is it, does he know what its about?

he told me it could be a creditor but he wasnt sure because he didnt get a call from anyone on my case, yet. ok that sounds suspecious to me. what do i do now? i could take the number back in to my attorney next week. maybe he can work a deal and ill agree to pay bacak the creditor teh $8000 but no interest. there is no way im gonna pay interest.

but i did get godo news on someone elses question. ill go post it over there.
