There is a post somewhere here in General about Brandi, being a single mom to 3 kids after her husband died, and she married Don and had twins & is pregnant again. Her goal is to have 10 kids.

Sim babies all look alike-bald and dressed only in a diaper. The only feature that differs is their skin tone and eye color. They get their own 'look' once they become a toddler. If they're NOT beautiful babies, I can change their appearance once they grow from a toddler to a kid.
Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.

          How we save money:

I always shop clearance; first place I head to when I go to Walmart, K Mart, Shop Ko, etc.

I always check out the reduced/clearance items at our local grocery stores. I even buy most of my plants that way - you can't beat $.99 for a christmas cactus or poinsettas.

I shop the Dollar Store a lot for things such as sandwich bags, dryer sheets, glass cleaner, etc. Dollar Stores are great for party supplies too !

I always shop the reduced/clearance sections at JoAnn's or Michael's.

I cook mostly low-carb for my family, so I am not ashamed to hit the local food banks because believe it or not, they always manage to have low-carb baking mixes, etc that I can not find in the grocery stores. Each Sunday stop at one food bank for baked goods because they are *always* over flowing with donations from the food stores.

We do shop at Goodwill. I refuse to pay $35.00 for a pair of jeans for my DH to muck up at work. We hit all the big rummage sales for things like bedding, throw rugs, arts and crafts stuff. When we travel to Seattle, we *always* hit the Goodwill in Seattle, Tacoma and Auburn.

We shop at several canned food outlets to mostly stock up on condiments, cheese, canned collards and spinach.

I purchased a vacuum sealer so I can freeze left overs and prepare meals in bulk. I buy hamburger when it's on sale and make several batches of taco meat, spaghetti sauce, chili meat and freeze them. When we want tacos, it only takes about 20 minutes to prepare, instead of the customary 1-1/2 hours.

This year we are going to revitalize the soil in our garden and go hog wild. TYpically in the past, our garden has produced so much I wound up giving alot away after I finished canning/freezing. This year I plan on starting out the fall with both freezers full. I am going to convert a small part of my green house to a drying room so I can process all of my herbs.

I shop at our local farmer's markets from May - October.

We love yard sales! Oldest DD balks at the notion of looking for sales, so she's left out of the picture. Youngest DD is fairly thrifty and loves the excitement of the unknown when we are out yard saling. We buy most of our furniture/electronic equipment that way.

I used to shop with coupons, but found that most coupons I don't use and I was not about to purchase products just to take advantage of the coupons. I do watch the advertisements though and do shop after the holidays. I can't see much sense in paying $20.00 for a perfume gift pack, when I can most likely get it for $5.00 after the holidays. I buy most of next year's Christmas decorations/lights/wrapping after Christmas. I purchased a whole bunch of candied fruits and froze them for next year's cookies

I pack a cooler full of food when we travel. I still haven't figured out if we save money that way though. Cold sandwiches don't have quite the same appeal as something hot at Mickey Dee's.

As soon as weather warms up and there's more daylight in the evening, I will be biking to work (5 mile round trip). I did that for the past two summers in an effort to conserve gas and to get some exercise. Farthest I have ridden has been 12 miles in one direction ! lol!

I recycle old blankets and comforters by making new slip covers for them. If I feel fancy, I'll machine quilt them, other wise I'll spend an evening tying them while watching Law and Order.

DH and I do take our lunches most every day, usually last night's left overs.

                KAM,
You are a person after my own heart.
                Yes, canning and all.....
My momma taught me well....... canning, freezing, cookings, etc.
Also have a food sealer - best item I ever purchased. I put a piece of cheese in it and 4 years later it is still the same....(am curious how long it will last in the sealed container).
If I have leftovers I do TV dinners for me for quick nites (and when I don't want to cook)....
I freeze nuts, fruits, vegs, etc......buy in bulk when in season.
Even dry my own fruit etc... You can also dry meats in that little drying machine.... then put in soups later....

There's many ways to cut corners, save money, when it comes to around the kitchen and cooking.

Shame many of the new generation are not taught these skills of canning, growing your own gardens, etc.

I'm sure your girls will pickup a lot of good traits just watching you... and helping you...
                Minny
